WE FINALLY INVESTED IN A LARGER SMOKER SO WE'RE DOING BATCHES OF OUR WOOD SMOKED SEA SALT TO SELL. THIS TIME THEY'RE IN LARGER 200G TINS AND THEY'RE SO AWESOME.

HICKORY IS A HARD WOOD AND IS ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR ALL-ROUNDER WOODS FOR SMOKING. IT HAS SIMILAR NOTES TO PECAN - SMOKE HEAVY, SLIGHTY SPICY WITH A TINY TOUCH OF SWEETNESS - IT'S LIKE A STRONGER PECAN.
THIS MAKES IS EPIC FOR HEAVY MEATS LIKE BEEF AND PORK, BUT CAN SOMETIMES BE TOO HEAVY FOR CHICKEN. HOWEVER, I PERSONALLY LIKE A STRONGER FLAVOUR TO MY SMOKE AND THE SALTS TAKE THE FLAVOUR BEAUTIFULLY. I THINK OF THIS SALT AS THE CLASSIC AMERICAN STYLE FLAVOUR.
THIS SALT CAN BE USED AS A CRUNCHY FINISHING SALT FOR YOUR FOOD, FOR SEASONING UP SLOW COOKED MEATS OR ANYTHING ON THE GRILL AND IT CAN EVEN BE USED TO MAKE THE SMOKIEST HOMEMADE POPCORN IN THE UNIVERSE!
IMPORTANT INFO ! MAINTAINING YOUR SALT TINS
SALT & METAL & MOISTURE = RUST, TRY TO KEEP YOUR SALT SAFE FROM HUMIDITY AND STEAM ALTHOUGH SOMETIMES THIS IS TRICKY WHEN YOU KEEP IT NEXT TO THE COOKER. IF RUST STARTS TO SHOW ON THE BOTTOM OF THE TIN, JUST POUR THE SALT OUT, CLEAN THE TIN WITH LEMON JUICE AND LET IT DRY OUT COMPLETELY BEFORE RETURNING THE SALT. YOU CAN ALSO LINE THE TINS WITH A PIECE OF BAKING PAPER IF YOU WANT.
